One of the problems of sinus congestion is the aches and pains that often accompany it. The most common are facial pain, headache, neck ache and general aches that start at the shoulders and move downward. If the pain becomes severe enough, it will trigger nausea. Then you’re feeling even more miserable.

There’s good news, there are natural supplements that work really well under these circumstances and they are made by the highest quality company we know. We also have some home remedies for you too, so keep reading.

NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS

Enzyme Pforesis Ice is a soothing and relaxing massage gel that combines lavender and peppermint with many enzymes and minerals. This gel temporarily relieves pain due to sinus pressure, arthritis, backache, and muscle fatigue just to name a few. Basically it helps with pain anywhere it is applied.

Liga-PN is a nutritional supplement with a combination of vitamins, herbs and medicinal spices working together to calm the nervous system and reduce inflammation. This product is excellent for relieving many different types of pain including migraine headaches, menstrual cramps and muscle/ligament injuries. It’s a wonderful substitute for aspirin without side effects.

It’s a good idea to keep both of these products on hand for all the aches and pains we all experience now and then.

HOME REMEDIES

Ice can be applied for 20 minutes every 30 minutes.

Fix a drink of warm milk with turmeric. These two things combined together can have a very calming effect on some people. Turmeric has some wonderful healthy properties such as: it is an anti-inflammatory, a painkiller and inChinait is known as an anti-depressant. The warm milk helps with the taste and warms the body, making it relax. If you are lactose intolerant, rice or almond milk are good substitutes.

Take a warm bath with Epsom salt. It is always soothing to take a few minutes just to relax and a warm bath helps your body and mind do just that. Epsom salt is known for relieving muscle pain, so using it in your bath can be very comforting.

For the nausea plain old soda or saltine crackers and Perrier are calming to the stomach. If Perrier is not available, you can use 7-Up.

You will need to play around with these and see what works for you. Sometimes combining two or three can help to totally eliminate sinus congestion pain. Note that any pain relief is temporary so we hope you’ll take a look at the sinus congestion page on our website for the nutritional supplements and the home remedies we recommend because what you really want is to prevent sinus congestion totally. And we can help you with that.

Sinus Congestion is a problem whether it is caused by allergies, or a virus. It can very quickly get out of control. Bacteria can form in the mucus, which can become infected. You may have trouble breathing, or feel like you have no energy. This little recipe has helped me get sinus congestion, sinus drainage and the sore throat caused by caustic sinus drainage under control very quickly so that it doesn’t develop into a something worse. It also stops that hacking cough that is such a pain. Literally.

Boil ¼ cup of water

Add 1 Tablespoon honey (organic, unfiltered & locally grown is best)

Stir until the honey is dissolved

Add 1 Tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar

Put 1 Tablespoon of this into a glass of pure water and sip throughout the day and night.

I personally like more vinegar than shown. So I taste it and add until I can feel it cutting the post nasal drip from my throat. BUT if you get too much vinegar in, it can close your throat and cause you to choke and have trouble breathing so add the vinegar a little at a time.

Now, even though this goes a long way toward helping you feel better while you have sinus congestion, you will probably need some more help to alleviate the whole sinus problem. We urge you to go to http://drjeanne.net/SinusCongestion.aspx to find Dr Jeanne’s recommendations, complete programs and sinus nutritional supplement packages with free shipping. We want to help you get over your sinus problems once and for all.

Seems like more and more people are having sinus problems. It makes sense. There’s more air pollution, more toxins in the food we eat, and more electromagnetic pollution. I don’t think this will change. I think we’ll be bombarded with more and more toxins.

Dawn and I have both had sinus infections because we couldn’t get our sinus congestion under control. They are awful. That might even be an understatement. So we’ve spent years collecting the best of natural remedies for sinus congestion, sinus drainage, and sinus infection. Some of these simply help with symptoms. Some actually change the way our bodies work so that we don’t have sinus problems again.

And we’re going to share them with you. Over the next few weeks, we’ll share inexpensive home remedies as well as the nutritional, herbal, homeopathic and other natural remedies that will accomplish the two things that are most important:  getting over any sinus congestion you have very quickly and building your health so that you never have them again.  Subscribe to our blog so you receive an email when we post a blog. Each will have a remedy that has worked wonders for us.

But first, if you have a sinus problem going on, here are things you can do right away

Increase the pure water you drink to at least 12 cups per day. This doesn’t count teas, juices, sodas, etc. Water is what will help decrease the thickness of the sinus drainage, thus making it easier to leave your body

–Cut out all sugar. Bacteria and Virus love sugar and multiply rapidly when they are present. (And don’t go to the diet drinks—they’re even worse).

Interested? Don’t want to wait for all this? We’ve explored this in much more detail on our web site: http://drjeanne.net/SinusCongestion.aspx

Check it out and send us any questions we haven’t answered. We want you to be free of sinus congestion forever.

Have an awesome, healthy day and come back soon!

Remember that it is the total stress load which can cause disease. Last blog we talked about emotional stresses and they may be the most important. But the physical stresses are often easier to deal with.

When I work with patients I look at what can we do that will be the easiest to change and thus decrease symptoms the most quickly.

Here’s a list of physical stressors:

Improper Diet

Genetics

Fatigue

Trauma such as an auto accident, fall etc.

Polluted air

Impure water

Toxins in our homes such as cleaning materials, chemicals in carpets, dust mites, paint and electromagnetic emissions

Being overweight or underweight

Being too acidic

Air quality

The antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, herbicides etc in our food

You can probably think of many more. Of these some you can do very little about like genetics. Though we are learning that even that can be changed.

I’ll be doing individual blogs on many of these. But impure water is a pretty easy one to change. Get a distiller or a water machine that purifies and alkalizes your water. Then drink at least 8 glasses a day. This will keep your body hydrated and when you become dehydrated every cell becomes less functional. And it will do it without introducing toxins into your body.

The byproducts of chlorine are cancer causing. If you can’t afford either of the above, at least get a filter that filters out the chlorine. You’ll be taking a first step toward total health.

And here’s a great tip. When you’re eating out, always ask for lemon with your water then squeeze the juice in. This helps neutralize the chlorine.

Because there are so many toxins in our atmosphere, a detoxification program is considered essential by most nutritionists at least twice a year. If you’d like more information on the best detox program we know of, go to drjeanne.net then go to contact us and send us an email or you can call us. This will change you health more quickly than any other one thing you can do.

Again, when your total stress load reaches your critical level, you begin to have symptoms and then disease. So any step you take to lower your total stress load is good.

Come back soon. We’ll tell you about other ways to decrease your stress load and prevent or heal from disease.

Have an awesome healthy day!

Love,

Dr. Jeanne

Well, that’s just about any stress. But today, we’re going to talk about emotional stresses.

Our thoughts have more effect on our health than any other one factor. That’s the good news because we can change our thoughts and that’s the bad news because it isn’t easy to change thoughts.  How we react and think about the stresses in our life is more important than the stress itself. Because we all will have at one time or another most of the stresses listed below.

Death of a loved one

Loss of a job

Divorce

Loss of money

Relationships

Your job

Success

Failure

Too little money

Too much money

Being a caretaker

Going on vacation

Not going on vacation

Marriage

Birth of a child

Loss of a child

Driving an automobile

The list is endless. Almost everything that happens in our life can bring stress.

Again, please take a minute and list the biggest stresses in your life. They actually are life and death. Because to review our last blog, when your stress level reaches a certain point, you will have symptoms. If it stays at that point or goes higher, you will have disease. So it is very important to realize that your stress can kill you and to take action now to reverse that.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Ah, that’s the very good news. There are a host of very helpful techniques available to help you deal with stress.

1. Prayer and meditation are right at the top in my opinion. I will be writing more about meditation because it is so very powerful. In the meantime, I have recorded three guided meditation which you can purchase at our  WELLNESS STORE. Check them out.

2. The Sedona Method

3. The Relaxation Response

4. Affirmative Meridian Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique.

5. A walk by the beach, up a mountain side, around a lake or anyplace you love

6. For me, at least, gardening

7. Laughter. Oh, that is so healthgiving. So go rent a funny movie and laugh until your sides hurt. Or anything that makes you laugh.

8. Friendship. A true friend will be there when the going gets rough and help you decrease your stress

9. In spite of the fact that marriage brings it’s own set of stresses, people who are married seem to be healthier and live longer according to research.

10. Autogenics training. Dr. Norman Sheely is a prominant neurosurgeon who decided surgery was not the answer to pain and stress. He became a doctor dedicated to natural medicine. Over the years he developed Autogenics Training which he believes is the best relaxation system available. It has helped many people become pain free, healthier and live with far less stress.

For your free copy of this technique, please go to http://drjeanne.net/default.aspx then click on contact us and send us an email. We will email you a copy of this super technique.

Because what we want is to give you the information to live a healthier happier life.

Our next blog will be about the physical stresses in your life. They, too take their toll.

Have an awesome healthy day and check out our web site. We’re adding new information every day.

WHAT CAUSES DISEASE

There are two beliefs that I will share with you about what causes disease for when you understand how you get sick, you will also know how to stay healthy. Today I will share the first and over the next few blogs give you more information about what you can do to stay healthy. Then I will tell you about the second one. Just so you know what’s coming.

Allopathic medicine’s biggest failures are in all chronic diseases. Chronic diseases are caused by life style—not by a deficiency in drugs. And most MD’s do no preventive or anti-aging medicine. These are where I shine. Because I look at the total person and help you become healthy and slow aging. I understand how the whole body works and I can help even before you have symptoms. Allopathic doctors wait until you are ill and then try to intervene. I don’t want you to be sick. Ever.

First, I want you to understand how we lose health. One model of disease is that stress causes all symptoms.

Visualize an old fashioned thermometer with a bulb at the bottom and a stem with numbers on it going up.    When your total stress level pushes the liquid in the thermometer to a certain point, you will have symptoms. That point will be different for different people—but for everyone, when the total stress load reaches their critical point, symptoms will begin.

Some have a larger bulb than others. Some have a weaker constitution. So you may have symptoms when the bulb at the bottom is full or you may have symptoms when the liquid is pushed half way up or you may not have symptoms until it is pushed clear to the top. But when you reach your critical point, symptoms begin.

If your stress level stays at or above that point for extended periods of time, the symptoms become worse. If the stress level increases, the symptoms will become worse. Eventually you have a full-blown disease which may become terminal.

Health is not merely the absence of symptoms. Health is having an awesome life:

Great relationships

A job you love

No pain

Optimism and hope

Energy

Peace and harmony

A glowing that pervades your life.

Please take a few minutes and list the stressing you’re your life. And come back in a couple of days to learn what you can do to decrease the effect these stresses have on your health.
